"BLAZE AMPS" Lightning - Head

A straight forward amp the “BLAZE LIGHTNING” is devoid of bells & whistles. With all tube design it features six tubes to allow for more gain & less noise.

At low volumes it produces a clean & clear sound with a very chimey tone. Crank it up and there is as much dirt as you need. Plenty loud with a fabulous feedback tone.

Here are some pictures of this particular amp being built. The cage started out as a flat piece of .060 3003 aluminum. Yes I drilled & chamfered each and every hole.

The chassis is .080 5056 aluminum. All the corners were bent on a box & pan break and the ends tig welded in place. All welds were ground & sanded smooth.

Here im fitting the cage to the chassis before deciding where to drill the holes for the stainless knurled thumb screws that secure it in place.

In this picture we see the chassis cage end plates before they are welded to the cage. The holes were given a beveled edge and the black lines are where ½” beads are going to be rolled in.

All the wiring is done and ready for final testing before being put into service.

Here is what she looks like with the hood up. Gray metallic transformers & clear urethane over the chassis.

The feet were turned on a lathe from ¾” bar stock & the bottom plate given a brush finish.
